Ranks & Structure...
Within The East Coast Anime Society, cetain people hold specific titles and positions. These are those titles and positions, and what they mean...
Core Group: The "Core Group" is the inner circle of "The East Coast Anime Society". These are the people who make the decisions, and decide ultimatly what E.C.A.S. is going to do in the community.
Gophers: The name sounds worse than it actually is. A "Gopher" is actually someone in the group that does the leg work. Most of the "Core Group" members hold the title of "Gopher" as well. Without the "Gophers", nothing would happen.
Web Gophers: The people who work on the E.C.A.S. web site, answer E-mails, ect. ect. A "Web Gopher" may not do as much leg work, but his job is equally important. (The current "Web Gopher" is always looking for help).
J.A.W.A.'s: (Japanese Animation Artist & Writers) "J.A.W.A.'s" are the backbone of the news and reviews section as well as a intrical part of the scene. E.C.A.S. believes in supporting these people, and helps to promote their artwork or writing in any way possible.
Volunteers: People who want to help out from time to time, and come and go as they please. E.C.A.S. is always looking for "Volunteers" to help out at events and functions. If you volunteer enough, and show that you want to make a commitment to the group, then you can move up in rank to "Gopher".
